Compared with Albi · United States · Early access
Both publish a price. Only one puts a floor under your margin.
Albi is the honest one in the category: published per-seat prices and a real product. Buyers shortlist it for that. Claim Job Control starts lower, with no yearly minimum and a cheap field seat, and leads with the control Albi does not sell: a margin floor per carrier, checked before you accept the job.
| Albi | Claim Job Control | |
|---|---|---|
| Who it is for | Restoration firms of 5 to 50 staff; water, fire and mold | Independent restoration and repair contractors, 5 to 70 people, on carrier and program work |
| What it is sold on | “The only system to run your entire restoration business” | Protection of the contractor: the margin floor per carrier, the clocks, and the audit trail |
| Published price | $60 Base or $100 Pro per user per month, published | Indicative: $99 per office seat (three minimum), $19 per field seat |
| Minimum spend | $6,000 a year minimum | About $297 a month for a three-seat office; no yearly minimum |
| Setup | $1,000 to $4,500 onboarding | $1,900 fixed, waived for every early-access firm |
| Field staff | Per-user pricing applies to everyone; reviewers mention seat creep for office staff | Field seats $19; cheap enough that nobody shares a login |
| Try it | Book a demo; no public trial found | Create your own account and load twelve sample claims; thirty-minute screen-share with the founder |
| Job costing | Yes: budgets against actuals, ROI calculator | Yes, and the floor is per carrier, frozen on the job at assignment, checked before acceptance and during the work |
| Margin floor per carrier, checked before acceptance | Not advertised | Yes; an estimate below the floor goes red before it leaves the office |
| First-contact clock from the assignment | Not advertised | 15-minute target with an escalation ladder; every attempt logged |
| No inspection before contact, enforced | Not advertised | The schedule button is absent, and the server refuses, until the homeowner is contacted |
| Tamper-proof estimate audit | Not advertised | Written by the database on every rate, quantity and price change; approved estimates lock |
| Xactimate and XactAnalysis | Xactimate import; XactAnalysis described as limited by Verisk | PDF scope import into the estimate (native ESX not yet), the assignment becomes the claim; pushing back to XactNet is on the roadmap and depends on Verisk |
| QuickBooks | Yes | Invoice export file for QuickBooks Online |
| Independent reviews | Capterra profile with an award badge; reviewers shortlist it because the price is published | None yet; the US edition is in early access |
Albi statements are taken from albiware.com pages and Capterra reviews as read in August 2026, and may have changed; check their site for current terms. “Not advertised” means we could not find the feature described on their public pages, not that it does not exist. Claim Job Control prices are indicative and confirmed when the US edition opens.
Where Albi is the better choice
If you need a full restoration platform today, with mitigation workflows, equipment tracking and a track record of US customers, Albi has it and we do not yet. Claim Job Control is in early access in the US. What it brings is the discipline that keeps a contractor on a program and in profit, built by a contractor who ran one for twenty years.
