Switching from spreadsheets

The sheet knows what happened. It never knows what is late.

A spreadsheet is a record. An insurance repair claim is a chain of obligations with clocks on them. Claim Job Control keeps the record and runs the clocks, so nobody has to remember which job went quiet.

What a spreadsheet cannot do, and what replaces it

The sheet cannotClaim Job Control
Tell you a policyholder has not been contactedA first-contact clock on every new instruction, red after the limit, with every attempt logged
Stop a survey being booked before contactThe book-appointment button does not exist until contact is logged, and the server refuses it too
Know which insurer’s margin floor appliesEach insurer’s floor is frozen on the claim at creation and the estimate goes red below it
Say who changed a number, when, and from whatEvery rate, quantity and price change is written to the audit trail by the database, with before and after
Lock an estimate once the insurer accepts itAccepted estimates lock; post-acceptance changes go through variations the surveyor signs off
Show the office its morningOne worklist per desk with a live count and warning badges that must be cleared

What you keep

Your rates, your trades, your insurers and the way you price a room. Setup takes your existing sheet as the source: open claims come across with their policyholder, insurer, stage and dates, and your trade rates become the estimate builder’s defaults. Every report exports back to CSV, so nothing you put in is trapped.

How switching works

  1. Week 1 — setup call. Your insurers and their margin floors, your trades and rates from the sheet, your letterhead, your staff and their levels.
  2. Week 1 to 2 — open claims imported. From your spreadsheet, with policyholder, insurer, stage and dates. Closed history stays in the sheet.
  3. Week 2 — two training sessions on your own claims. One for the office, one for surveyors and WIP. Every screen has a Help walkthrough for the day after.
  4. Live inside ten working days. Keep the sheet read-only for as long as you want it.

Try it before you talk to anyone

  • Create your company at app.claimjobcontrol.com with an email code
  • Press Load sample claims and explore twelve claims across the whole lifecycle
  • Try to book a survey before logging contact. It won’t let you.

Next step

Bring the sheet. We’ll walk one of its rows through.

Thirty minutes, one claim from your own spreadsheet, end to end in the system.
